create_response_file usage notes

This document describes the requirements and usage for the create_response_file tool distributed as an optional component of SIOS Protection Suite for Linux.

The create_response_file tool creates response files which can be used for silent installation of SIOS Protection Suite for Linux using third-party automation tools. The functionality of the create_response_file tool is the same as the "setup" script that is included in the SIOS Protection Suite for Linux product image. Please use the create_response_file tool when creating response files in an environment in which the product image cannot be downloaded or is inaccessible.

Terms of Use
 - As an optional component of the SIOS Protection Suite for Linux, the end user license agreement included with the product you purchased will be applied.

Requirements
 - The version of the create_response_file tool must match the version of the SIOS Protection Suite for Linux product being installed.
 - Modification of the create_response_file tool is prohibited.
 - Manual modification of the resulting response file is not supported.

Support
 - As an optional component of SIOS Protection Suite for Linux, the create_response_file tool is covered under the existing product support agreement.
 - Any third-party mechanism used for automating the installation and configuration process is not covered by the product support agreement.
